1. What counts as direct marketing
Direct marketing means messages from Us that promote Our programmes, products or services, sent by:
- SMS / text message
- WhatsApp and similar messaging channels
- App push notifications and in-app promotional messages
It does not include service or transactional messages, such as messages about your account, an application you've made, payments, or security, which We send as part of providing the Service regardless of your marketing preferences.
2. We only market to you with your consent
We will only send you electronic direct marketing if you have given Us your consent, or if you are an existing customer and the limited exception in section 4 below applies.
Agreeing to receive marketing is always Your choice. It is separate from, and never a condition of, accepting Our Privacy Policy or Terms and Conditions, and it will never affect your ability to sign up or use the Service.
3. How you give consent
When you sign up, you'll see two separate choices: a required agreement to Our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, and an optional, unticked box asking if you'd like to receive marketing from Us. You only receive marketing if you tick that box.
You can change your mind at any time by updating your communication preferences in your account settings.
4. If you're already a Jobox customer
If you're already a Jobox customer, We may contact you about Our own similar programmes, products or services, even without a separate opt-in, provided you had the chance to object when We first collected your details. You can opt out of this at any time using the methods in section 5.
5. How to opt out
You can withdraw your consent, or opt out of marketing, at any time and at no cost, by:
- Using the unsubscribe or “stop” option included in every marketing message;
- Updating your communication preferences in your account settings; or
- Contacting Us at contact@joinjobox.com.
Opting out does not affect service or transactional messages, and does not affect the lawfulness of marketing We sent before you opted out.
6. What you can expect from us
- We'll always identify Jobox clearly as the sender.
- Every marketing message will include a simple, free way to opt out.
- We will not sell your personal information, and We will not share it with third parties for their own marketing without your consent.
7. How we use your information for marketing
To send you relevant marketing, We may use your contact details (such as your email address, mobile number, or messaging identifiers), your programme and profile information, and information about how you engage with Our messages. This is described further in Our Privacy Policy, including your right to object to profiling for marketing purposes.
8. Questions or complaints
If you have questions about this Policy, or believe We have marketed to you unlawfully, please contact Us at contact@joinjobox.com. If you're not satisfied with how We've resolved your concern, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
This Policy is reviewed regularly and may be updated from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
